Wife's name appears clearly beginning in 1643. A baptism in 1634 yielded a partial reading, "Anne duL...", providing the required connection for the earlier children. It is possible this is the wrong Jaques Jotterand, as there is a baptism of a child of a Jaques Jotterand at Bière in 1631.

Not certain if this is one of the Jean Jotterand's whose children were baptised at Bière.
Is it possible his sons Michel and Jean Jaques were the two brothers who married Hugueyne and Françoise, daughters of Anthoine Buttin of Rolle? The marriage of Michel Jotterand and Huguyene Buttin is found at Payerne, 1639, the other marriage has not been located. This possibility is raised by a volume catalogued as ACV Fg 318, described as an Agenda, for certain properties subject to the heirs of Jean Steiger, baron of Rolle, where on fol. 26 there is a brief entry for the heirs of Anthoin Buttin, for property that was then (but there is no date) held by these two women, with a marginal notation that Jehan Jaques et Michel ont espousé ces deux filles!

Marriage contract recorded 24 jan 1723 by Jean Pierre Monod, notary (ACV DK 82/1) calls him Jean François Jotterand le jeune, and names his relative Jean Pierre Depursinge. The bride identified as the daughter of the late Pierre Guignard, and she is accompanied by her brother Discret David Guignard and her brother-in-law Gabriel Tincturier. As a result of this information, we can idenfity Jeanne Pernette Guignard, wife of Gabriel Tincturier from other records, as another daughter of Pierre Guignard. The relationship of the groom with Jean Pierre Depursinge has still not been identified.
