From the marriage record, we deduce that the Imbard family, often appearing as Imbert in official records, was not native to Lyon, and so all the Imbard who appear there after 1665 are very likely direct descendants of Jean Imbard and Marie Bermond. This simplifying assumption gives us some hope that we are on the right track in assigning parentage of later generations that appear in Switzerland.

Identified in the marriage contract of his son Pierre Imbard, Louis Veillard notary, Geneva, 28 sep 1737. He probably had more than the two children presently known with certainty, but those two are the only ones recorded at Lyon. It is possible, for example, that the Siméon Imbard of Lyon, resident at Lausanne in 1710, is another child of this marriage. When he acknowledged a debt of 1669 livres on 01 apr 1710, his securities were the brothers Jean and Pierre Johannot, merchants, residing at Lausanne (Jean Daniel Caillet, notary, ACV DG 47/10).

It is possible and feasible this is the same Jeanne Imbard who later married Charles Galland in 1688 at Coppet. There should be a marriage contract in the district of Nyon that would prove this. The record of her marriage to Pierre Johannot at Lyon indicates banns were published for the bride at "Beaulieu". A similar place name, Boulieu, is near Annonay.

It should be noted that the Ingalls Genealogy gives date of death as March 1647/48 which was some months before the will was written. Obviously, the early date is in error. Supposedly Edmund died while travelling to Boston on horseback and drowned in the Saugus River, owing to a defective bridge. His heirs recovered damages from the town.

The name of Edmund's wife continues to be a mystery. Various (undocumented) sources show her given name to be Annis or Anne, with her surname shown to be Telbe, Telby or Tripp. More research will be necessary to determine which is correct. At this time, my records will show the spelling "Telbe".
Family records as posted on Ancestry.com may not be correct and, at this time, I feel the genealogies cited probably contain more accurate information.
