Subject of an interesting agreement dated 09 sep 1511 (Michael Frossard notary, ACV DL 43/4, fol. 24) which establishes that her grandparents were Vuilliermus dou Tey or de Tecto and his wife Agnes. Claudia quitclaimed to Guido de Tecto and his nephews for her share of the estate of Vuilliermus and Agnes for 16 livres, a substantial sum, but the document does not actually state how Guido and his nephews descend from Vuilliermus. However, there is no indication in the text that they are not descendants, or how, if they are not, they could be the other legal representatives of that estate. One possibility that has not been ruled out is that the mother of Guido and his deceased brother Nycodus was a daughter of Vuilliermus and Agnes. In order for that scenario to be plausible, the parents of Guido and Nycodus would likely have to be no more closely related than second cousins. Given that the Dutoit family, under various spellings, has been in the area around Chavannes-sur-Moudon since at least the beginning of the 14
There is also a similar but less detailed agreement dated 04 sep 1502 (DL 43/3, fol. 15v), with the same import, but in this instance, Guido and his brother Nycodus are both present, and the share in question comes from Claudia's grandfather Vuilliermus and from her mother Agnes, daughter of Vuilliermus, for 20 florins.
Also not to be ruled out, if Agnes, daughter of Vuilliermus de Tecto, had already quitclaimed for her dowry (and thus for any additional share of the estate of her father), and if Vuilliermus had no sons, property might have reverted to the brothers of Vuilliermus. While this Vuilliermus is mentioned in several other sources, his parentage has not yet been discovered.

Surname, encountered in a variety of equally ambiguous spellings, might be read either as Cous or Cons. Similar names from Vuarmarens are found occasionally in the records of the notaries of Moudon as late as the 17th Century, but we have not been able to establish the correct reading of the name.

Family tradition says he was the son of Anthoine Constant and Jeanne Broyard, and that he had a brother Jean who served in the armies of the King of Navarre. His marriage contract was recorded at Geneva 05 feb 1570 by the notary Bienvenu at Geneva (vol. 2, fol. 64).

A document in the registers of Isaac Guibaud, notary at Lausanne (FHL microfilm #0875904) records information about his marriage: 09 jan 1691, on 13 nov 1689 a treaty of marriage was executed in Geneva (?) between Augustin Constant, banderet, son of the late noble Philibert Constant and Judith Girard des Bergeries, and Elizabeth Genevois, daughter of Louis Genevois of Corp en Dauphiné and his wife Marguerite Roux of the same place. This document is now being recorded with assistance from Etienne Giraud, godfather of Elizabeth, and Jean Barnaud her (?) cousin. The marriage was solemnized at Nyon. Marguerite Roux pledges a sum of 3000 livres tournois, and Louis Genevois pledges another 5000, etc., for a total of 24800 livres tournois from various lettres de rente and other instruments from France.
