[10697] Source unknown, but information provided by genealogist for the Nathaniel Dickinson Family Assn: "Isaac Baldwin, 6th Capt. Col. Sargents Regt; list of officers dated Cambridge, 24 Apr. 1775. Baldwin, Captain; list of prisoners taken by Lt. Gen. Burgoyne, dated Albany, 24 Oct. 1777; exchanged for British prisoner Capt. Montgomery of the 9th Regt.
Col. Paul Dudley Sargent of Amherst, N.H. but Col. of several Mass. Regts, including 16th Mass., was Col. from April to May 1775."
Miss Susan Sills, a granddaughter, said that Capt. Baldwin was killed in the Rev. War very soon after his marriage to Eunice.
Feb. 2006: Have found an Isaac Baldwin of Brookfield, Worcester Co., MA, who died 1 Apr. 1783. He was the son of Jeduthan and Lucy Baldwin, whose info can be found on FamilySearch.org. Could this be the Isaac who was husband of Eunice? She married Isaac W. Clary in 1784. [15654] Marriage record for Eunice and Capt. Baldwin not found but assumed to be in MA. See letter from Margaret Bock, genealogist for the Dickinson Family Assn. Info from unknown source.
Capt. Baldwin on a list, dated at Cambridge, 24 Apr. 1775, of officers serving in Col. Sargent's Regt. He was also on a list, dated at Albany 24 Oct. 1777, of prisoners taken by Lt. Gen. Burgoyne.. He was exchanged for British prisoner Capt. Montgomery of the 9th Regt. A granddaughter, Miss Susan Sills, said that Capt. Baldwin was killed in the Rev. War very soon after his marriage to Eunice.
Obituary in the Anaconda Standard (Anaconda, Montana), 26 nov 1916: "MRS. T.V. LUXTON DEAD AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS. Mrs. Susan Luxton, wife of Thomas V. Luxton, died at about 5:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at her home, 309 Pine street. She had been serious ill for about a week, but had been ailing for more than two months. Born in London, Ontario, Feb. 15, 1869, Mrs. Luxton spent the early part of her life there, but came to this country and to Montana soon after her marriage. She and Mr. Luxton were in Butte for about a year on first coming here and then came to Anaconda, where their home has been for the last 23 years. Mrs. Luxton was a member of the Episcopal church and also of the Order of the Eastern Star and had been active in the work of both church and society. She is survived by her husband and three daughters, Gladys, Mabel and Dorothy, all of whom are at home. A sister, Mrs. A. M. Henderson of Missoula, two brothers who are at the front somewhere in France and other relatives in Canada also survive."
