[12564] Sarah was probably the daughter of Nicholas Cady and Grace Birede of Leithringham, Suffolk, ENG. Need to check actual name of town as I have seen several versions of same. And, this info, found on the internet needs to be proved.
Nicholas Cady b. ca 1588 at Lethingham, Suffolk, ENG., married there on 6 Dec. 1613 to Grace Birede, b. ca 1592 at Lethingham.
Sarah's brother, Nicholas, Jr. was b. 1627 at Bury St. Mary's, Suffolk, ENG. He died 14 May 1712 at Groton, New London Co., CT. He married 1) Judith Knapp; 2) Priscilla Akers.
Probably Sarah was b. in England and there is nothing to suggest that the parents came to America. One report says that John Clary and Nicholas Cady, both carpenters, may have come to America as apprentices under William Knapp, a master carpenter from Suffolk.
Nicholas married Judith, daughter of William Knapp and John Clary married the sister of Nicholas. They probably arrived in America, ca 1630.
Cutter's New England Families, Vol. 2, contains considerable information about the Cady families. See pp 759-761. (Call # R929.174/C981 at Seattle Public Library).

On the internet there are several references to Sarah Cady's marriage to a Thomas Woodcock and she may have had a daughter by him before her marriage to John Clary in 1643/4. See Clary & Allied Family notebook

:
John Clary married Sarah Cady, (whose surname has been reported by various researchers as Caddett, Coffell, Cassell & Ceddell). Despite the variation of names this was probably one single woman by the name of Cady.
