[9800] Lineage of George Adam Keinadt can supposedly be found in Daughters of American Colonists, Vol. 22, p 27. Lineage numbers 21001-22000. I have not located this book.
[9803] Daughters of American Colonists 22:27 (#21001-22000) has info about Geo. Adam Keinadt. Found at SPL, undated notes.
Only birth years of the children are given. The name has undergone many changes in spelling and in Virginia is spelled with both initial "C" and "K".
Appler cites "Daughters of American Colonists" Vol. 22, p 27; #21001-22000. Lineage carried down several generations.

[9784] Notes taken in Sep. 2007 (FHL #0317397 - Family Genealogies by Julia White Chapter DAR, item 6) has a typescript of the Coyner bible (just one page) and is not a copy of the actual bible page. I noted that Michael was born 29 Feb. 1720. Was this in error? Earlier I had recorded a date of 29 Jan. 1720. Looking at the Keinadt online (Google Books), the birthdate of 29 Jan. 1720 is mentioned several times. Thus, it appears that the bible transcription was in error.
[9793] Will of Michael Coiner (with that spelling) can be found in Augusta Co., VA Wills, Bk 8, pg 286.
Typescript of Keinadt bible gives year of birth but does not give actual birthdate of Keinadt children.
[9783] Sep. 2007: Had seen this microfilm many years ago but did not copy bible page as I felt it was incomplete. Apparently other researchers have found the actual baptismal records somewhere and, time permitting, I should try to locate them.
(List 114C) Ship Restauration; Captain: James Hall; From: Rotterdam by way of Leith; Arrival: Philadelphia, 9 Oct. 1747. Among passengers was Michael Keinodt.
Trinity Lutheran Church, known as the Keinadt Church, has old gravestone and newer monument honoring Michael Keinadt. Copies of M. Thompson photos on file.
[9788] In 1983, enroute from New Jersey to the west coast, we stopped briefly in Augusta Co., VA and tried to find the cemetery where Keinadt was buried but couldn't locate it with directions we had. We found many tombstones for Koiner, Coyner and Kyner in local cemeteries, as well as present day businesses with those names. Obviously, Michael left many descendants!
Tombstone reads: Michael Keinadt, born at Winterlingen, Germany; emigrated to America about 1740 and Virginia in 1790. D. 7 Nov. 1796, aged 77 yrs. To attest the filial affection for the ancestors of the Koiner family who are now living in many states of the Union whose names are spelled in various ways, Viz: Koiner, Kyner, Koyner, Kiner, Coiner and Coyner.
[9790] After an e-mail from Joni Macfadden, I searched internet and found many references to Michael Keinadt, as well as the Balsleys. Some of the info may not be accurate as it came from the old Keinadt genealogy, as well as Virkus' Compendium, which was notoriously inaccurate. The cemetery records were transcribed and contributed by a Joan Renfrow for the Genweb Archives and it is assumed that her notes were accurate.
In Michael Keinadt's will, dated 15 July 1796, the spelling of "Coiner" was used. Heirs of Michael were as follows: wife, Margaret; Sons: George, Conrad, George Michael, Kasper, John, Martin, Christian, Jacob, Philip and Frederick. Daughters named were: Elizabeth Palsley (Balsley), Mary Edebaugh (Hedabaugh) and Catherine Slagle. The will may have been written by Robert Porterfield and Michael signed with an X. Witnesses were Benjamin Kennerly and John Conner. Codicil shows a date discrepancy.
[9792] Both will and codicil were challenged in court. Need to check the August Co. History for further details; also check old notes. Apparently Frederick was not able to manage his own affairs (termed "launatick" in the will) and his portion of the estate was to be held and administered by his brother, Christian. Both George and Kasper were named Executors but George declined.
Groom's name written Keinet, son of the late Conrad Kleinet of Wurttemberg.
[14945] Need to check further on Conrad Kleinet/Keinadt. According to letter written by a relative in 1769, Michael's father was still alive and living in Onstmettingen, Baden-Wurttemburg. This is a small village north of Lake Constance. Winterlingen is not far away.
There are a number of errors in this early work and facts need to be verified.

She is listed as Ursula Keller in the church census of 1652, but as there seems to be only one Conrad Gsell family in Zihlschlacht at this period, and the birth records beginning in December, 1651 show the wife as Ursula Kreiss, we see no other explanation. Then, many years later, her death record clearly says Keller!
