After the death of her husband, sometime before 1686, she appears in a number of documents relating to his estate. She is associated with Jaques Folliet, master tailor of Moudon, but his relationship to her has not been worked out. She may also have some relationship to the Isaac Dutoit who married Jeanne (or Susanne) Rossalet, as the following document suggests:

A tous ceux aux quels il conviendra, soit notoire & evident que le dixneufvieme jour du mois de May Mille six Cents Octante six, s'est personellement contituée & establie par devant le Notaire et tesmoings cy bas nommés, honnorée Margueritte Mellet Vefve de feu honnorable David Duthoict vivant bourgeois & Maistre Tailleur de Moudon, agissante comme Mere Tutrice de ses Enfans, authorisée du Sieur Jaques Folliet Maistre Tailleur dudit Moudon son proche parent, promettant se faire a authoriser plus outre par d'autres ses proches parents au plustost possible, Scachante & bien advisée pour elle et sesdits enfans: A vendu & habandonné purement et perpetuellement A honnorée Jeanne Rossellet femme d'honnorable Isaac Duthoict de Chavanes, presente et acceptante par advis & authorisation de sondit Mari: Assavoir, un morcel de prez riere ledit Chavanes pour faire environ demi Char de foin, lieudit en Chavagnaule, Jouxte le prez d'Anthoyne Duthoict did aux Clercq d'orient & bize, celuy de Monsieur Isaac Burnand d'occident, celuy encor dudit Sieur Burnand avec une partie de celuy des hoirs de Daniel Duthoict dit André de vent, Avec ses fonds, fruicts, droicts, appartenances & despendances quelconques, Et a esté faite & passée le presente Vendition pour et moyennant la somme de Cent et dix florins pptz. de Cappital, six florins trois sols de vins honnoraires auxdits Enfans, outre cinq florins de vins beuz, Le tout payé et satisfait, dont ladite Acquisitrice en demeure perpetuellement acquittée et les siens par cests. Daté sous toutes autres Clausules & Renonciations requises le preditt jour, presents les honnorables Jean Michel fils de Spectable et Sçavant Jean François Gaudin Ministre a Cresy, et Jean Pierre Voru bourgeois dudit Moudon, tesmoings requis.
Her testament dated 13 jun 1697 was probated before the cour de justice of Moudon (ACV BIL 98 fol 56). She leaves the bulk of her estate to her children Jean François Dutoit (for some years "hors du pays"), Marie Dutoit, Magdelaine Dutoit, and Esther Dutoit. Her daughters brought the testament before the court and it was approved, 22 jun 1698.

Evidently a Catholic in good standing when he disputed the settlement of the estates of the exiled Gélieu ministers who had fled to Amsterdam. He is found in the surviving Catholic registers at Issigeac around 1700. He advanced numerous arguments, probably specious, to take possession of estates abandoned when his wife's relatives the Gélieu brothers fled from France in 1685. The estates could not be touched as long as the brothers were still alive. While his relative Pierre Melon had a better claim, he, too, could not claim these estates as long as the exiled brothers were still alive. His title is mentioned in the registers at Issigeac in 1706. The same registers demonstrate the existence of at least two other men of the same name: one died in 1706, age about 65, and the other, styled Sr. de Maisonneuve and procureur à Cordineire, married in 1712 to Anne Malbourian and was alive as late as 1720. There is a burial record for a Jean Melon habitant d'Issigeac in 1730, but we have not determined which one of them it might be.

He may be the Jean Melon who died at Issigeac 10 jan 1730, but there was another Jean Melon, Sr. de Maisonneuve and procureur, at Issigeac at least from 1712 to 1720.

Probably resided in the vicinity of Issigeac. He is identified as the nephew of the Gélieu brothers, ministers, who fled in 1685, but neither he nor Jean Melon were able to take possession of the brothers' estates. However, the dispute on this subject before the parlement of Bordeaux generated some interesting documents. So far, we have found no mention of him in the surviving church records of Issigeac or Eyrenville. It is possible that he resided in a neighboring parish.
The transcript of the dispute over the estates of the exiled ministers is available as a PDF file. The documents give no indication where either Pierre or Jean Melon lived, apart from their titles, Sr. de
Croze and Sr. de Camperdon, respectively.
