[15074] There is considerable information about the Sayre family on the internet. While much of it sounds authentic (will, etc.) additional proof will be necessary to confirm what is shown in RootsWeb's World Connect project.

Sources: Colonial Families of the USA by George N. Mackenzie, 1907 ; Virkus' Compendium of American Genealogy (known to have many errors), World Family Tree pedigrees, as well as The Sayre Family - Lineage of Thomas Sayre, a founder of Southampton, by Theodore Banta, 1901.

Internet sources give Mary Clark as Daniel's 1st wife; marr. 2) Sarah, whose last name is not known. Seven children are named: Daniel, Jr., Isaac, Hannah, Mary, Anne (who married Moore), Ethan and Silas.
