He made a reconnaissance with his brothers Stephanus and Johannes 21 jan 1428 (ACV Fh 119, fol. 144v). While this terrier names the father of both David and Girardus as Johannodus dou Bugnyon, it is not completely certain that they are all sons of the same Johnanodus. However, if not, there would likely have been some attempt to distinguish the two deceased men called Johannodus dou Bugnyon in the text. The two groups held at least one property jointly, 8 poses, of which David held a one-fourth interest, and the others collectively a three-fourths interest. This situation would be logical if David had already married and had made a "partage" with his other brothers for his share of their inheritance, while the other three, still living together in the same house (this is specified in the reconnaissance, David had a separate house adjacent to this one), had not yet divided their shares.
