She is the subject of an item in the terrier ACV Fh 4, believed to date from about 1440 (fol. 60): "Item, tenent ut supra que Mermeta filia quondam Petri Gachet de Gimel tenere confessa fuit res et possessiones infrascriptas, et primo duas posas terre sitas ou Croset juxta viam publicam a borea, et pascua communia a vento. Item, unam posam terre sitam ou Coctiboz juxta terram Petri Fillieta a borea, et terram Perrodi Palliex a vento, pro quibus rebus et pro una setora prati sita in dicto loco quam tenet nomine assignatis dotis ut asserit Perroneta uxor Johannis Massalleir soror dicte Mermete se debere confessus fuit duos solidos Lausannenes census." In this terrier, Mermeta is apparently not yet married to Petrus Billiard, whose father Johannetus Billiard is still living. In Fh 7 (fol. 85v, as a subject of Noble Johannes de Syvirier, whose reconnaissance to the Seigneur of Aubonne is dated 22 oct 1478), she is identified as "filia quondam Gaschet alias Mandegru uxor Petri Billiard", so far the only place where the alias Mandegru has been found.

The Gachet family of Gimel is attested at least as early as 1301, in a reconnaissance by Johannes Bez alias Gachet, taliabilis domini Ludovici (coseigneur of Aubonne) (ACV Fh 104 fol. 28). Petrus Gaschet de ultra lacum (presumably indicating that he had come from the south side of Lac Léman, the Chablais region) made a reconnaissance 12 feb 1379 (ACV Fj 68, fol. 5v) for various properties at Gimel, not the same ones mentioned in 1301, but if he had actually come from the Chablais, it is possible that he became a Gachet by taking a maternal surname, rather than by paternal descent from Johannes Bez alias Gachet.
There was also a Gaschet family at Perroy, e.g., Fi 4, fol. 50, Nycodus filius quondam Perrodi Tascheti de Perruys, 1411.
Her father is called Perrod in some of the terriers and Vulliet in others (notably, ACV Fh 137, dating from 1506). It may be that Perrod was the father of Vulliet, as he seems to have been the previous assessed owner of the property that had come to Jeannette by 1506. This reading is confirmed in Fh 146 (fol. 63, reconnaissance of her grandsons Pierre and Michel Robert, 1533).
An example of the confusion found in some of the terriers is a reconnaissance dated 26 jan 1467 Style of the Nativity, in a terrier for properties subject to the church at Féchy (ACV Fh 127, fol. 26). The title identifies the reconnaissant as Johanneta filia Vuilliermi (inserted by an indistinct reference mark: filii ? quondam Perrodi Gazelli; however, this insertion is written as if it were a continuation of the title, and the reference mark could easily be missed) Gazelli quondam de Crousa subtus Feschier uxoris Michaelis Robert de Chastel, and identifies several sources for the properties on which she owes feudal taxes: ex donacione facta in sua ultima voluntate per Aymonerium Gazelli patrem avvam (should be avum) dicte confitentis manu Jaqueti de Exertines clerici sub data die tridecima mensis aprilis anno domini millesimo CCC septuagesimo quarto (= 13 apr 1374); various properties de recognicione predicti Perrodi Gazelli eius avvam facte manu Jaqueti Gos notarii sub data die octava mensis februarii anno domini mo CCCC decimonovo (= 08 feb 1419); also ex donacione perpetua facta predicte ecclesie per Nycolam filiam quondam Vuilliermi Gazelli manu Domini Johannis de Trivillins capellani sub data die quincta mensis marcii anno domini mo CCC octuagesimo quarto (= 05 mar 1384); also ex legato facto in sua ultima voluntate per Francesiam uxorem Amareti Gazelli filiam quondam Mermeti de Bougel. It is possible the correct genealogy should be Jeannette, daughter of Vulliet, son of Perrod, son of Amaret (or Aymaret), son of Aymonerius.
Another reference is in the terrier Fh 135, fol. 18, for Johanneta filia Vulliermi Gazelli relicta Michaelis Roberti, et Ludovicus Roberti filisu quondam dictorum conjugum de Crosa subtus Feschier, 10 oct 1498 Style of the Nativity, referencing a previous reconnaissance made by Michael and Johanneta 07 jun 1474, and also property that had been recognized in the past by Perrodus Gazelli avus paternus dictorum conjugum.
