Bride was of St. Mary Abbott, Kensington, spinster. We know absolutely nothing about her. The published list of marriages for St.George Hanover Square shows that the marriage of 1802 was "by license". The license, if it can be located, should at least give her age.

1850: Kingsbury p. 240, with apparent first wife Eliza Ann b. 1820, twins Ann and James b. 1846, dau. Roseannah b. 1847, and boarders. 1855 and 1860, more children, still with wife Eliza. Daughter Fanny Bucks age 25 in 1880 would have been born in 1855, so is attributed to first wife. 1880: Ft. Edward, NY, p. 131D. 1870: Ft. Edward, p. 450, first wife gone, children Orville 24, Elizabeth 24, and Rosamond 22 in household.
Based on birth date of last child (1831), and minimum ages in the 1820 and 1830 censuses (26 and 40, respectively), Keziah should have been born between 1786 and 1790. A date in this range would make her 45 or younger at the birth of her last child, and old enough to be correctly reported in these two censuses. This compares favorably with the 1789 birth date of Keziah, daughter of Daniel Buck.
[14926] Date of marriage was estimated from census records but the actual marriage record has not been found. Keziah is believed to be the daughter of Daniel Buck and Mary or Marietta Hayford of Bridgewater, MA, who later settled in Boonville, Oneida Co., NY. Madison Co., NY, where Abner and Keziah raised their family, is not far from Oneida Co.
The Buck lineage, which goes back to Pilgrim Francis Cooke of the Mayflower, has been entered into my database, but not connected. If, or when, a marriage is found for our Abner Rice and Keziah Buck, the records will be linked. There are other researchers who have already linked the two families, without benefit of proof, and this information can be found on the internet.
Abner could have been a descendant of Edmund Rice, who arrived in Sudbury, MA, circa 1638 or Robert Royce, who also arrived in MA during the early 1600's. So far, there is no real tie to either of these men. Both of them left countless descendants. Those descending from Robert Royce spell the surname alternately Royce or Rice.
