Described in 1571 as "donzel de la paleyne et co-seigneur de chastel Saint Denys", in a document relating to the sale of property held jointly with his sister, Antheine, wife of N. Pettermand Gachet the elder (Jean Marcuard, notary at Payerne). We at first thought he married Denise Gachet, but now that we know Denise's mother married George Muriset (the elder) and then Jean Gachet, it would not be permissible for Denise Gachet to marry the younger George Muriset, unless his mother was not Denise Regnauld.

He may have remarried to Anne Myéville, who is noted in 1589 as the widow of N. George Muriset. It is not yet clear how many men of this name were alive or recently dead at that period. The chronology is unclear at best. However, since the death date of Jean Gachet is known, and since Denise Regnauld was his first wife, it appears that there must have been two George Murisets, the first dead by about 1540, and his children thus somewhat older than we first believed.

She appears as the widow of Sr. Jean Nicod at a baptism in Moudon, 12 oct 1623. Her surname is given in the presentation of her husband's verbal testament before the cour de justice of Moudon, 05 may 1621 (Jaques Jaquier, notary at Moudon, ACV DL 52/1 fol. 135, followed on fol. 136 by a sale in which she is also a party).
After the death of her first husband, she gave power of attorney to Estienne Michod, notary, to act in her behalf before the "noble justice de Neufchatel" and elsewhere, relating to the estate of the late Denyse Regnaud her mother (the "procure" or power of attorney is recorded at the end of a register of Claude de Place, notary at Lutry, ACV DI 48/10, and dated 24 may 1579). She was still living as late as 04 apr 1614, when she borrowed 520 florins from Abraham Vulliamoz, apparently at Lutry (same notary, ACV DI 48/33).

Daniel Murphy, of Ballyellen, co. Carlow, Ireland, and afterwards of Montreal, Canada: third son of Andrew; born 1785; removed to Canada in 1824, where he resided till his death, in 1846. He mar. in 1817, Mary, dau. of Peter Byrne, of Knockullard, gent., and his wife, Diana Rudkin, of Corris, co. Carlow, and had five sons and two daus.
