William O'Connor and Mary Kelly.
Lydell Whiteside reported to Melinda McCoy (August 1999) that Carrie O'Hara Twombly was the source of his information that the father of Georgette McCoy Whiteside was named Reuben. She also named Georgette's siblings, but she identified Oscar McCoy's wife as Laura Sides, who was actually the wife of the younger Oscar, Georgette's nephew. Carrie provided this information in about 1950.

Obituary indicates that he lived in NY and MA before coming to Brown Co., IL in 1844. This has not been checked.
[1602] Age at death from cemetery record; married in Warren Co., later to Butler Co., OH, to IL by 1847 when Thomas O'Hara helped organize St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mt. Sterling, IL, and son Oscar b. 1846 in IL. BP from 1860 census.
[1603] 1840 census shows 5 males b. between 1811 and 1820 - these have not been identified, could have been just boarders or workers. Fairfield Tp., Butler Co., OH. Looks like J.-P. Marcel and a woman b. 1781-1790 there also.
[14737] Date from Fermine Baird Catchings, but it is not clear where it came from. Evidently it is a family tradition, for Mrs. Catchings also quotes "tradition" that the marriage took place in Delaware.

He was present at the wedding of his son Antoine 17 sep 1698. He appears to be the Antoine "Obossié" age 56 from Vallence who, with his wife and three unnamed children, was listed on the 1698 refugee census in Vevey. He is clearly not the same person as any of men of the same name who are cited in Lausanne about the same time.
However, there may be connections between the families in Vevey and Lausanne.
Marriage contract recorded by Pierre Dutoit, notary at Vevey (ACV DS 36/30).
