She is mentioned as the sister and godmother of Catherine Elizabeth Floreton. In order to serve in this capacity, she would have to be past her first communion, generally around age 15 in most of the French protestant congregations we have studied. She might even be a couple years older (her parents were married in 1684 in Annonay), since a young woman's first appearance as a sponsor at a baptism seems often to have been meant as a signal that she had reached the age of marriage.

Tentatively placed as another son of Anthoine and Claudine, and presumably the eldest of their sons, as there is no evidence of any other branch of the Floreton family that went into the Dauphiné in the paper trade. The joint will of Anne Johannot and Magdelaine Peccat, preserved in English translation at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, relates that his widow (not identified further) was then residing at Christian Erland (modern Erlangen), Germany. That will was prepared before 1729 (when Anne Johannot died), apparently in Bern. From the other relationships noted in the will, it is clear that the widow of Pierre Floreton or Fleureton of Erlangen was Catherine Diaquand.
Carole Darnault, author of a study of the paper industry at Rives, sent the following information gleaned during her research:

A descendant of this family, Robert Buddenbohn, employed a researcher in Germany to study the registers of the French congregation at Erlangen, which are still unpublished. Pierre Fleureton or Floreton, a papermaker, is noted at Erlangen at least as early as 1690. He died 25 dec 1714, his age given as 54 years. This is consistent with his age given in his marriage record at Annonay, yielding an estimate of 1660 for his birthdate. The records at Erlangen give his origin variously as Grenoble, Annonay, or Rives. It is very likely that we are missing one or two of his children, probably born before the family left France.
