Catechumen lists indicate his wife (or perhaps second wife) was the widow of Louis Chaillet, with Guérard's step-daughter (bellefille) taking first communion in 1646, and thus born about 1630-32.

We found what appears to be a sale of property between Jeannette and her supposed husband Jean Fivaz dated 03 nov 1522, in the registers of Pierre Chuard, notary at Payerne. The marriage dated five days later was found in secondary sources, and might be a misinterpretation of the former document. By 1524, Jean Fivaz and his brother Michel are cited with their wives, the two sisters of Guillaume Crostel.

When she is mentioned as a mother in the baptismal registers at Moudon, her surname looks a bit like Roux. The marriage contract, recorded at Lausanne, is clear, but the notary failed to get the names of several people involved, including the name of the bride's father, and left blanks where those names should have appeared (Philibert Del'Isle, 13 dec 1675).
