The Tavel genealogy (Recueil des génélogies vaudoises) makes her the daughter of Daniel Tavel, minister at Payerne, and his third wife Françoise Estoppey. However, the notary David Tavel (ACV DP 101) recorded a testament of Jeanne Morattel, widow of the late Pierre Jaccaud (27 may 1694) naming as her children Daniel Jaccaud, Marie Magdelaine Jaccaud, and her eldest child Judith wife of Jean de Trey, clearly identified in related documents as Judith Tavel. Hence, it appears that Daniel Tavel must have married yet again, and we show her parentage this way.
