Witnesses at baptism: Abraham and Charles Louis DeCrausaz, Madeleine and Susanne DeCrausaz. He is probably the Louis Nivet "français d'origine habitant à Lausanne" who appears at a baptism of the Margueron family at Lucens, 12 feb 1763. His presence there has not been explained. The 1765 census of French refugees at Lausanne identifies his wife as Susanne, suggesting a second marriage; however, this appears to be an error, since his father's testament of 1787 makes a bequest to Françoise Chevalier, widow of his son Louis.
