He donated part of his estate, acquired as a result of a settlement among the creditors of Pierre Dutoit ès Jaques, to Pierre's children:

There are a number of references to Pierre, but information that ties his wife to the rest of the Dutoit clan has been difficult to find. An interesting document recorded by François Ballif, notary at Moudon, is suggestive: 26 sep 1618, purchase for André Dutoit of Chavannes from Antoine Vernex of Villard-Bramaz. Anthoine Vernex, with his wife Andriaz, daughter of the late Pierre Chappuis of Corcelles-le-Jorat, and of Jenon, daughter of the late Jaques Dutoit of Chavannes, sell to Andrey Dutoit of Chavannes, "ung morcel de cloz" at Chavannes, lieudit "en Sarrignin", next to the meadow ("pré") of Egrège Anthoine Dutoit on the south, the field ("cloz") of himself the present party that hitherto belonged to Nicolas Dufour on the north, the meadows of ... (illegible, perhaps something like successors) of Daniel Dutoit on the east, and a field of the said buyer on the west, which field was sold at auction by the said seller in the name of his said wife to Pierre Chappuis of Corcelles-le-Jorat as conjoint person with Jenon his wife, daughter of Jaques Dutoit of Chavannes.
Filling in the blanks, it appears that the field reverted to Andriaz Chappuis and her husband Antoine Vernex upon the death of Andriaz' father Pierre Chappuis. Thus, Andriaz, her husband, and Jenon all have an interest in the property. The interesting question is why they sold it to André Dutoit. Was he a close relative (in which case, Claude father of the late Jaques and Claude father of André might be the same person)? Or was he simply another of the Dutoit's who was a neighbor interested in increasing the extent of his contiguous fields?
The proximity of Nicolas Dufour is easily explained, he married Jenon's sister Jaquemaz. But which Daniel and Antoine Dutoit are the other neighbors?
