Where are the children born 1637-1647? There should be several! She remarried to Jaques Tavernay of Chardonne, as suggested by a record of Pierre Gavin, notary at Moudon, 16 nov 1661, which indicates that Tavernay was the "beau-père" of the children of the late Thomas Dutoit. There are a number of similar citations.

Cited as beaupère of Jean and Sebastien Dutoit, sons of late Maurice Dutoit, 1616, in documents recorded by Jean Maquelin, notary at Vevey.
He made a reconnaissance 24 feb 1483, commissaire P. de Leydessos, ACV Fg 11, fol. 102v: Johannes du Crest filii quondam Stephani du Crest d eVillario Sancte Crucis recognosciens suo et nomine liberorum quondam Claudii du Crest eius fratris. (The children of Claudius seem not to be named in this reconnaissance.) In the same terrier, fol. 115, there is a du Crest family from Synarclens, but there is no obvious relationship with this family.
Evidently the same family is named in the terrier Fg 83, fol. 431, 11 oct 1552, for Anthoine filz de feu Jean DuCrest du Villar Saincte Croix, in the text of which the preceding reconnaissance for these properties was made by Jehan filz de feu Thiven DuCrest tant en son nom que au nom des enffans de feu Claude du Crest son frere 24 fev 1483 Style of the Nativity.

It is likely he is the man whose widow Henriette remarried to Pierre Aguet at Sullens, 13 jan 1583. He is first noted as deceased on the occasion of the (second?) marriage of his daughter Pernon, 12 feb 1581.

An inventory of the communal archives of Crissier includes mention of a Lettre de Bourgeoisie for Thivent Ducrest dated 1595, signed by the notary Philibert Musy. The registers of this notary have not survived, apparently, and we do not know what information about the origins of the family is included in this document.
The "assignal" acknowledging receipt of dowry by Bastian Cousin of St. Bartholomé for his wife Jeanne daughter of the late Thievent DuCrest of Crissier, consisting of 250 florins and various personal effects, dated 06 jun 1641 (Pierre Perrochon, notary at Chesaux, ACV DG 193/1 fol. 76) probably refers to one of his daughters, but we have not yet determined who her mother was.

In 1850, Charles Duel, probably brother of Sarah, was living with this family, also Elizabeth, likely a sister. Cemetery record transcript (possibly from records other than the tombstone) gives name as Sarah Duell Baker, no explanation for this.

Originally from the Languedoc in France, he was a captain in the Royal American regiment 1757-1761, then moved to Moudon where he acquired citizenship 13 aug 1761.
Surname appears once in the registers at Payerne as DuFlion (as a witness at a baptism).
He is also mentioned in a document in the communal archives of Missy (U 28, 1625), "Lettre de rente constituée par Jean Rouge pour Marguerite, fille de d'Abraham Rouge, femme de Pierre Duflon, bourgeois de Cully, pour des biens non payés que Marguerite avait hérité rière Missy, Saint-Aubin et autres lieux" (not yet examined).
