She may have been the Estiennaz who was the daughter of Thomas Dutoit and Esther DuCrest, baptised in 1647. However, she and her husband sold land at Chavannes to "Isaac Dutoit son of the late Abraham Dutoit" in 1686, followed immediately in the register of the notary Jaques Crausaz (ACV DL 24/1) by another sale in the same area adjacent to the heirs of "Abraham Dutoit dit Baud". The relationships among these families are not presently known.

She had a brother Samuel, dead by 1744. He left a widow, but her name was not mentioned in the document explaining these relationships, 20 apr 1744, Daniel Antoine Jossevel, notary at Moudon. This is the evidence that leads us to identify the wife of Antoine Dutoit, Officier de Chavannes, with the daughter of Baltazard Dutoit and Estiennaz DuPuis.

Her testament was recorded by Jaques David Burnand, notary at Moudon, naming brothers Pierre and Daniel, her sister Jeanne Marie, wife of Jean Papaux, and heirs of her deceased brother Abraham (dated 12 apr 1741, probated 19 apr 1741).

Apparently she is not the Marie Dutoit, sister of Samuel and daughter of David, who is cited as widow of Abraham Duperrex in a document of 01 mar 1762 (Jaques David Burnand, notary at Moudon). Identified as Marie Dutoit, she was a sister of one of the Balthazard Dutoits, who appeared at the baptism of her son in 1733. Apparently the same person is identified as Susanne Dutoit at the baptism of the second child of Abraham Duperret, 09 mar 1737. By 1748, apparently the same Abraham Duperret marries Jeanne Ursule (but later called Jeanne Marie), daughter of the late Jean Guezer, at Penthaz. Logically, either there were two men called Abraham Duperret, one of them the husband of Marie Dutoit, the other the brother of Daniel Anthoine Duperret, or else there was one Abraham Duperret who married sucessively to Marie Dutoit and then to Jeanne (Marie?) Ursule Guezer. The first possibility appears to be correct. Her death is indeed recorded at Moudon in 1748: "Marie née Dutoit de Chavanes & Moudon femme d’Abraham Duperrez du Rougemont Granger a Corniz Territoire de Moudon agée d’environ quarante huit ans ayant eté malade près de quatre jours d’une Apoplexie qui luy a d’abord oté la parole est morte le 13e Juin 1748 sur les neuf heures du matin, & a eté enterrée le lendemain dans le Cimetierre de Moudon sur les deux heures après midi. Elle laisse huit Enfans dont aucun n’a communié, savoir trois fils & cinq filles, outre son Mari."

Marriage record is clear, but what appears to be the baptism of their child in 1767 gives her name as Susanne Marie. At Vevey, where the marriage banns were also published, she is Marie Estienne, daughter of the late Abraham Isaac Dutoit, bourgeois of Moudon, living at Vevey. (We interpret this to mean that she lived at Vevey, not necessarily that her father did.) It is possible that Estienne Marie belongs with a different set of parents.
