Footnote on this page suggests that Alice, wife of Thomas Sheafe, was a Hendley as the name of Gervase given to her second son is not a common one. Her son, Richard, makes a bequest to his "cousin Walter Hendley" in his will in 1557. Alice, mentioned in her husband's will, was still alive in 1520.

Letters of administration were granted to Stewart Henry Jr. and Elizabeth Henry (widow), sureties were Stewart Henry Sr. and Jeremiah Banner. The administrators' account was approved 17 aug 1846. (Armstrong Co. Probate Register Docket 1, p. 158). History (1883) provides information: David Henry settled 1797 on 386 acres straddling Sugar Ck. and Washington Tps., sons Stewart, Alexander, Nathaniel, dau. Margaret Colwell.
