The guardian of his children Jean (or Jean Pierre?) and Pernette circa 24 dec 1580 was Jacob de la Pierre of Montherod (ACV Fh 164 fol. 68). A further reconnaissance in the same terrier (fol. 291) adds two more children, Jeanne and Jaqueme, and specifies that Jacob was the uncle of the children. Blaise was about that time (06 feb 1580, ACV DB 26/5 fol. 9v) married to Jeanne Clerc, and had received a marriage settlement of 60 florins from her brother Guillaume Clerc.

Blaise was clearly alive on 06 feb 1580, but dead by 24 dec 1580. The reconnaissance of 24 dec 1580 that lists his children as Jean and Pernette relates to property from his first wife Nicolarde Darzier.
