Biographical sketch (as Alexandre Genevois) in Montet, Dictionnaire Biographique des Genevois and Vaudois, gives details of his career, and names parents as "Jean Detienne dit Genevois et Judith Barnaud". His father's testament names only three surviving children: Judith, Jean Alexandre, and François Louis. We have not yet located a baptism for Jean Alexandre, but as the date for the baptism of Alexandre in 1719 does not match that given by Montet, we assume that the first Alexandre had died.
He served as minister at Zweibrücken, Germany and then at Lausanne.

(At that period, the incumbent of the position of Deacon at Romainmôtier served as the pastor of the annex of this parish at Vaulion. Pierre Genevois held this position 1714-1722.)

Her two marriages are revealed in transactions recorded by Balthazard DeCristaz, notary at Moudon (ACV DL 27/3), 11 nov 1625. Catherine was presently the wife of Michel Veyre, but had previously been married to the late Jean Chevalley. She must have been the mother of Jeanne Chevalley, wife of Pierre Dutoit, in order for Michel to be the "beaupère" (father-in-law) of Pierre.
